Arkaba Homestead
Arkaba Homestead offers an all-inclusive package encompassing the complete Wild Bush Luxury experience and full access across the property. All 60,000 acres of ancient Ikara - Flinders Ranges Country are devoted to just ten guests and various active wildlife conservation programs. All chef-prepared meals and beverages as well as daily guided wilderness safaris are included. Their expert field guides pull together the incredible geological history, wildlife and pastoral heritage of this region with ridge-top 4WD safaris, guided bush walks and a chance to take in the sights and sounds of the bush. Guests can expect around seven hours of guided safaris each day that are tailored around specific interests of the group.
Dining around an old wool classing table on the outdoor terrace with the ever-changing light and sounds of the bush all around is a special and uniquely Australian experience. A firepit in the corner of the garden provides a great spot to retire to after dinner with a glass of wine or port to watch the stars appear over this ancient landscape.
To gain an aerial perspective of this ancient mountain landscape Scenic flights over Ikara - Wilpena Pound are an optional excursion and prices start from $390 per couple for half an hour in a fixed wing aircraft.
