qualia’s two exclusive restaurants provide the ideal stage upon which the Executive Chef delivers exceptional culinary talents to inspire your palate. Guests have the choice of fine dining at the Long Pavilion, or a more relaxed and casual experience at Pebble Beach.

Both offer their own unique tasting experience with the freshest and finest cuisine. Alternatively, guests may retreat to their pavilion and order in-room platters, or discover other dining venues on the Island in their personal golf buggy.

Long Pavilion

With its expansive views of the Coral Sea and serene atmosphere, the Long Pavilion is ideally suited for breezy breakfasts. In the afternoon, it transforms into a space where you’re invited to enjoy cocktails, and then fine dining in the evening, offering an indulgent menu and an accompanying wine cellar selection.

Pebble Beach

The informal Pebble Beach restaurant is located by the water’s edge. The Executive Chef’s passion for fresh and seasonal Australian produce is reflected in the menu, providing contemporary Australian casual lunching at its best. Then relax into the afternoon on the sun-drenched terrace at the beachside cocktail bar.

Great Barrier Feast Series

Internationally acclaimed chef, Tetsuya Wakuda, produced an incredible menu for the first event in Hamilton Island’s new Great Barrier Feast Series for 2010. He was joined by renowned wine critic, James Halliday, who will select all the wines for the Series, and former MasterChef presenter, Sarah Wilson as emcee.

The event took place across two of the Island’s premier venues - qualia and the brand new Hamilton Island Yacht Club. Commencing with a welcome dinner, the event featured a master class by Tetsuya and a champagne lunch at the Yacht Club, offering the opportunity for guests to find out more about the famous chef.  The weekend concluded with a showpiece dinner at qualia in which Tetsuya took guests through the preparation of his culinary delights directly from the kitchen. This was visible to guests via a live camera link-up.

Great Barrier Feast Series
Historically an annual fixture on Hamilton Island’s calendar, this exclusive food and wine event has made a welcome return with a slight variation to its original concept. The series comprises of three “Chef’s Table” weekends. The second and third events of this year will be held in July and November. The exclusive events promise to showcase the finest food and wine within a world class setting. qualia luxury packages are being offered for the gourmet weekends.

Long Pavilion Dining
By night the Long Pavilion offers fine dining with an indulgent menu and wine cellar selection.
