Crystalbrook Lodge - At a Glance
Hidden in the rugged outback of North Queensland this secret outback mecca catering to only 10 guests is an oasis of luxury perched over the spectacular Crystalbrook Lake. Only a 40 minute flight or three hour drive from Cairns, the lodge is in remote outback bush and is part of the historic 85,000 acre Crystalbrook Station.
Remote and wild...
The lake, some 300 acres in size, is home to a staggering range of wildlife including birds, freshwater crocodiles and fish; a nature lover's paradise. Guests can spend days on the lake or riverside, exploring the bush wilderness or just enjoying the serenity and stillness of the outback in the lodge’s private manicured grounds. Keen fishermen will be hooked on giant barramundi or heli-fishing in the gulf rivers. Here in "big sky" country, the colours of dawn and dusk bookend nature's daily theatre.
Accommodating only 10 guests in 5 Courtyard Suites, the lodge is a private retreat from which to explore this outback wilderness.
Outdoor dining, in a stunning setting overlooking the lake or under a perennially clear star filled sky, features a menu offering the best of the rich local produce of the region - tropical fruits and vegetables from the Atherton Tablelands, wild barramundi and grass-fed beef straight from Crystalbrook Station.
