This transcontinental reversible itinerary takes guest on a journey through the very centre of Australia. The luxurious longitude line provides a unique discovery of the meaning for sense of place. Each experience is a reflection on Australia’s enchanting and diverse landscapes connecting guests with the Australian environment, the people and the culture.

El questro homestead operates from april until october. overnight darwin then 1 hour flight to kununurra airport, 2 hour hosted transfer or self-drive to el questro homestead.

1 El Questro Homestead The Kimberley, Western Australia (3 Nights)

In the middle of almost 1 million acres of Wilderness Park and 100km from the nearest town, the luxury of the El Questro Homestead sits in stark contrast to Western Australia’s rugged Kimberley landscape. Perched on a cliff top, with vistas across the Chamberlain River, the Homestead is a relaxed retreat catering for a maximum of 18 guests.

1 El Questro Homestead The Kimberley, Western Australia (3 Nights)

2 Longitude 131° Ayers Rock (Uluru), Northern Territory (3 Nights)

Located in the heart of Australia and facing majestic Uluru (Ayers Rock), Longitude 131° offers a uniquely personal experience of this Australian icon from 15 luxury tents (canopied suites) with private views of the changing colours of Uluru as the sun rises and sets.

2 Longitude 131° Ayers Rock (Uluru), Northern Territory (3 Nights)

3 The Louise Barossa Valley, South Australia (2 Nights)

The Louise, an idyllic luxury vineyard retreat, encompassing acclaimed restaurant Appellation, is situated on a gentle hill surrounded by hundreds of acres of vines, with breathtaking vistas across the world renowned Barossa Valley. Just fifteen luxuriously appointed, contemporary styled suites, each with its own terrace, are sited to provide guests with complete privacy.

Bring your blended wine back to Appellation where the award winning culinary team will create a special course custom paired to your wine that will form part of your dining experience at Appellation that evening.

  • Hot Air Ballooning – Float over ancient landscapes, a myriad of vineyards and relish an experience of a lifetime! The flight lasts a breathtaking hour, giving you time to take in the sights and enjoy the serenity. On landing it’s time to enjoy some local bubbly and a selection of fine Barossa food.

  • Breakfast with the kangaroos – A memorable way to engage with Australia’s most unique living icon. An easy 15 minute bushwalk into the conservation park leads to a clearing where families of kangaroos are having their breakfast and your gourmet breakfast will be laid out on a picnic blanket to enjoy in this truly natural setting.

+ Bamurru Plains Top End, Northern Territory (3 Nights)

Bamurru Plains is an extraordinary bush experience on the edge of Kakadu National Park in Australia’s Northern Territory.  The coastal floodplains of northern Australia are home to prolific bird and wildlife (Australia’s answer to the Okavango Delta) whilst Kakadu and Arnhem Land are the heartland of the country’s indigenous culture. The nine wilderness bungalows of this wild bush luxury camp ensure that guests are introduced to the sights and sounds of a spectacular environment in style and exclusivity.

  • Airboat tour – A morning trip out on the floodplain wetlands of the Mary River catchment in an airboat is utterly exhilarating and the only way to truly experience the extraordinary beauty of this key natural environment.

  • 4WD safaris – With the recession of the waters from much of the floodplain in the dry season, the plains become accessible to 4WD vehicles and an afternoon out with one of the guides will provide a unique insight to this fragile yet very important environment.

  • Bird watching – The Mary River catchment is home to some 236 species of bird, many of which are found at Bamurru Plains. Even in the dry season the floodplains on the property still retain large areas of water to which the birdlife congregates in extraordinary numbers rarely seen elsewhere in Australia.
