1 Mt Mulligan Lodge Northern Outback, Queensland (3 nights)

Quintessentially Australian, Mt Mulligan Lodge offers modern laidback luxury in the untamed outback environment of Northern Outback Queensland. What will I do there?

  • Take a 4WD safari to Tyrconnell Gold Mine where the thundering sound of Australia’s oldest operating gold crusher fills your senses with what it was like to work in one of the country’s most productive goldmines.
  • Get behind the wheel of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) exploring boulder-strewn creeks, navigating outback tracks before resting at the picturesque south end of Mount Mulligan to delight in a chef-prepared gourmet picnic.
  • Head up to the Mt Mulligan Lodge Sunset Bar and enjoy a sun-downer as you watch the ever changing moods of the Mount Mulligan escarpment.

1 Mt Mulligan Lodge Northern Outback, Queensland (3 nights)

2 Silky Oaks Lodge The Daintree, Queensland (3 nights)

Silky Oaks Lodge offers an extraordinary experience of Tropical North Queensland where Australia’s celebrated Daintree Rainforest meets the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. Luxury, treehouse-style suites, the acclaimed Treehouse Restaurant and the Healing Waters Spa complement an unforgettable wilderness experience.

  • Walk with a local guide from Walkabout Cultural Adventures through Kuku Yalanji Country among ancient rainforest and discover the culture and stories of The Daintree’s Traditional Custodians.
  • Take a dip in the spring-fed Mossman River, grab snorkel and fins to explore the underwater world or float gently along in a kayak.
  • The Healing Waters Spa is inspired by ancient beliefs that celebrate the water in the Mossman River as a renewing and life-giving force. Signature treatments feature natural earth clays and flower essences to relax and rejuvenate.

2 Silky Oaks Lodge The Daintree, Queensland (3 nights)

3 Lizard Island Great Barrier Reef, Queensland (3 nights)

The Great Barrier Reef stretches some 1200km along the tropical north Queensland coast and is one of the seven wonders of the natural world and a world heritage listed, natural inspiration. Lizard Island is a beautiful, natural, remote island retreat and the northern-most Great Barrier Reef resort. It offers 24 white powdery sand beaches, five star cuisine, indulgent spa treatments and is an outstanding dive and snorkel destination.

What will I do there?

  • Sensational snorkelling and diving opportunities. Dive the famous Cod Hole or snorkel straight from the beach to experience magical coral gardens, a giant clam garden and a colourful array of tropical fish.
  • Take a helicopter tour for a birds-eye-view of the Great Barrier Reef. This guided aerial experience provides a powerful insight to this World Heritage wonder.
  • A motorised dinghy will allow you to access Lizard’s secluded beaches all around the island. Ask the team to pack you a picnic hamper so you can spend hours exploring and soaking up the remote and romantic island surrounds. You may well be the only people on the beach the entire day.

3 Lizard Island Great Barrier Reef, Queensland (3 nights)

The Great Barrier Reef stretches some 1200km along the tropical north Queensland coast and is one of the seven wonders of the natural world and a world heritage listed, natural inspiration. + Spicers Peak Lodge High Country, Queensland (3 nights)

Located on 8,000 acres at the peak of the ridge, with breathtaking views of the World Heritage listed Main Range National Park and Scenic Rim, Spicers Peak Lodge is Queensland’s highest mountain lodge and boasts one of Queensland’s leading restaurants. The standalone Spa Anise, encompasses specially designed treatment rooms and a plunge spa pool on the deck.

What will I do there?

  • Arrange for a picnic hamper to be delivered to one of many scenic picnic locations around the 8,000 acre property. A table can be set for guests to arrive at the location, after a bike ride or walk, to chilled champagne, stunning views and nothing to unpack.
  • Star Gazing – in the evenings the magnificence of the Southern sky spreads out all around. Learn about the various constellations from your local Guide.
