Restaurants with Rooms - Lake House, The Louise and Cape Lodge are noted regional dining destinations – and while they don't provide special facilities for children, they do welcome families who want their children to experience regional and fine food.

Their offerings tend to emphasize fine dining matched with beautiful wines, and are therefore not appropriate for children under 18 years. However, each property welcomes families as guests and can provide activities and experiences in their respective regions conducive to family time away together.

Cape Lodge - Children will be accommodated on the same basis as adult guests although the lodge management advises that the property and facilities are not ideal for children under 12 years of age as all rooms are designed for a maximum of 2 guests. More...

The True North welcomes families. However, being a 'floating' lodge, under maritime regulation all passengers (including babies) are considered ‘berthed passengers’. For guests wishing to book a child under the age of 12 years should be advised that there are no dedicated child minding facilities onboard or provision for crew to engage in child minding activities. Adults travelling with children must accept full responsibility for their supervision, and ensure they don't disrupt passenger enjoyment in any way.
